About Me

Meet Caroline

Welcome to Greenlights Yoga - I’m Caroline.

I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and behaviour, and how deeply we’re influenced by the world around us. Nature plays a big part in keeping me grounded, and it’s a place I return to daily, personally and within my teaching.

My interest began at a young age when I was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune condition.

Learning to live with pain, limited energy and a body that felt different shaped how I understand movement, mind set, rest and self-awareness.

Before teaching I worked as a paramedic, nursery nurse and within special educational needs schools. Each experience taught me how differently we all respond to life, and the importance of meeting people exactly where they are - and it’s these lived experience that sits at the heart of how I teach today.

I started practising Yoga 25 years ago. I instantly felt a natural connection and curiosity to these ancient teachings. In 2015 I started my Yoga Teacher Training and I’ve not looked back. I TRULY love what I do.

My Approach

There is no one-size-fits-all. We change every day, and what works one day may not work the next.

My teaching encourages you to listen to your body, move with curiosity and respond with care. It’s not about pushing or perfecting - it’s about creating simple, supportive habits that genuinely make a difference over time.

The idea behind Greenlights Yoga is simple. Our body and mind are always communicating with us:

  • Green - it feels good to move forward

  • Amber - slow down and check in

  • Red - stop, something doesn’t feel right

When we learn to listen to these signals, we build awareness, create space, and begin to respond to life in a more supportive way.

My Style

My classes are often described as calming, nurturing, inspiring and playful. I bring a gentle, relaxed energy, with a touch of humour and lightness, alongside a deeper understanding of how the body and mind work.

For me, yoga isn’t about perfect poses or how things look. It’s about being human - finding the beauty and balance within the messiness of life, and learning how to come back to yourself time and time again.

What I Encourage

  • You are your own best teacher

  • Honour your body and your pace

  • Rest when you need relax tension

  • Let your breath guide you

  • Be curious, not critical

  • Soften to find strength

Relax, rest, recharge… repeat.

Community

I believe we are not meant to walk through this life trying to do everything alone. Community, connection and sharing of knowledge and life is key to our wellbeing.

Over 25 years ago I started the practice of Yoga. It has brought me together with the most beautiful people and teachers, for which I’m very grateful.

My classes and retreats are very much about people coming together and allowing time and space to one’s self.
